A 10-Minute Weekend Schedule Review to Make Next Week a Little Easier

Monday morning, you open your phone staring blankly thinking "what was going on this week?" — moving those few minutes to a 10-minute Saturday preview makes the start of your week considerably different.

"Weekly review" sounds grand, but what you actually do is simple.

Just Three Things

① Scan Next Week's Schedule in Week View

Open the week view and quickly scan next week's schedule. Just getting the big picture — "there's a meeting Tuesday," "Thursday evening is free" — is enough. You're building a "map of next week" in your head.

② Add Any Events You Forgot

Add anything you realize you forgot. Also add location or items-to-bring notes at this point and the day-of will be easier.

③ Check Any Incomplete Recurring Todos

Look at recurring Todos you registered, and move any unfinished items to next week. Even if you didn't complete everything in a given week, having a chance to review means you can recover.

Saturday Afternoon Rather Than Sunday Night

Doing this Sunday night can trigger "another Monday is coming" feelings. Taking a quick look Saturday afternoon or evening and then enjoying the rest of the weekend tends to feel better.

Adjust the timing to your own rhythm. What matters is "deciding when you'll do it." Without a set time, it keeps getting pushed back.

You Don't Have to Do It Perfectly

Some weeks it takes less than 10 minutes. Other busy weeks might take a bit longer. That's fine. The habit itself of "looking at the calendar properly once a week" is where the value lies.

Trying to manage everything perfectly won't last. "Just being in a state of roughly knowing what's coming next week" is just the right goal.

The TV Option: Check Without Even Picking Up Your Phone

Even without deliberately opening your phone on the weekend, with Panda Calendar on Android TV, next week's schedule is projected on your living room TV. Natural conversations of "what do we want to do next week?" emerge with your family — glancing while doing something else is a TV-specific way to use it.

Try Panda Calendar — check your Google Calendar on both phone and Android TV.
